Our family of four will be visiting WDW 9/29 - 10/5. We want to take full advantage of the dining plan. However, I am discovering that there are not many reservations available. What are the chances of slipping in without a reservation?

    Hi Brian,

Disney does not set aside tables for walk-ups. That being said, it is often possible to walk up to a restaurant and be seated, depending on a number of factors.

The good news is that you're traveling during a relatively un-crowded time of the year, so this may give you better luck. To maximize your chance of dining without reservations, you should be prepared to eat early or late. Showing up at 5:00 p.m. with no reservation may result in a table. Show up at 6:30 and you may not be as successful.

You'll also want to avoid some of the most popular restaurants. The odds of getting into a fully booked Cinderella's table are quite small, but if you want to eat at some of the larger table service restaurants at Epoct or Downtown Disney, then you'll have a much better shot of being seated.

    Good luck!
