We are a family of four, 2 adults & 2 kids, but not big eaters. Our dilemma is to include any dining package in our vacation. Any suggestions will be very helpful. Thanks

Hi, Keshmira!  I think the Walt Disney World dining plan is a wonderful thing to include in your vacation package for two reasons.  If you have a family of really good eaters, it can be a bit of a money saver.  The other reason would be to budget for your meals in advance, so you know what to expect in terms of cost.

For my family, the dining plan has never made much sense.  I have one daughter that is four, and she can be a fussy eater.  She might eat a big breakfast one morning, and then be happy with bananas every morning the rest of the week.  I have had gastric bypass surgery, so I am fairly restricted with the amount of food I can eat, so I usually share a meal with my husband.  My oldest daughter, who is nearly 18, is always watching her figure, so she is usually glad to share her meal with my youngest daughter.  For us, the dining plans are way too much food, and it just wouldn't be worth the cost for us.

You will probably have to decide for yourself if the dining plan is going to be a good value for your family.  Something I recommend to friends and family is to visit HERE to check out the different dining plans there are.  Then go to a website like www.allears.net and check out the dining menus to see if the cost is worth it to your family.

I think the dining plan is a GREAT option for many families.  it just would not be cost effective for our family, and I imagine there are other families in a similar boat.

    Have a great vacation!
