Family of 7, flying into Orlando. We will arrive at our resort hotel at 9 pm and fly out at 3pm the last day. We would love one easy "preview" thing to do on the day of our arrival as well as some non-ticketed options for our last morning.

    Hi, Mary Beth!
Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love finding non-park activities to add to the fun of visiting Walt Disney World Resort.

I have a pretty easy solution for you once you arrive at your hotel. Each and every resort is magical at Disney World. When your family arrives at 9:00 PM, check in, check out your room and then explore the resort. If you haven't heard of "Hidden Mickeys," it's a magical reason to study every nook and cranny of the entire resort. Disney Imagineers tend to hide shapes of Mickey's head all over the decorations throughout each resort and park. My family loves looking for them wherever we go. There are even books and smartphone apps that make the exploration even more fun.

When you have the morning free, I'd recommend checking out Disney Springs. It is a huge shopping area that is free to visit. Plus, it isn't just your standard shopping center. It is full of Disney magic just like everywhere else. You can take a resort bus to visit the area for a few hours before you need to leave. The restaurants, stores and activities are worth your time.

I hope these ideas help your planning! Let me know if I can help answer any other questions before you arrive.
