We have a family of five (two adults, three kids 10 and under) and we're thinking of the Port Orleans, Family Suite or Fort Wilderness Cabin. We're looking for a queen bed for the parents, easy parking, and a fun 'disney' time for kids. Any suggestions?

Hi, Krista!  The big advantage to the Fort Wilderness Cabin is that you will have full kitchen facilities, which can help save some money on snacks and maybe a meal or two.  You'll have a little bit of room to spread out, and your parking is right there at your cabin. The biggest bed at the cabins is a double bed, however, so if a larger bed is important, this may not be your family's best option.

I really like the All Star Family Suites.  You get a small kitchenette, which includes a small refrigerator and a microwave, so you can still do some breakfasts or quick bites to eat, and you'll have a place to keep drinks or snacks.  There are two full bathrooms, and with three daughters, that was a great benefit to the suites for me.  Two people could be showering at the same time, and we almost never had an unanswered call from nature!  The bed in the bedroom meets your criteria, and the kids could really each have their own bed with the three pull out options in the living room, although the pull out sofa can accommodate at least two of them.

Port Orleans Riverside is a good choice for a family of five if you have a child small enough for the trundle bed.  There are two double beds in the room, and some of the rooms have a smaller mattress that pulls out from one of the beds.  The trundle option is best utilized by someone smaller - no bigger than a 10 year old, in my opinion.  The resort itself, however, is very easy to get around, and that makes it quite appealing.  The pool area is great for kids, too.

I hope you find the location that works for your family!
