    My family of five is traveling to WDW in March, 2020. We want to order skins for our magic bands...are the current ones magic band original or 2.0?

    Thanks for your question! 

    With your trip in March you will be using version 2 MagicBands. So if you want to buy MagicBand accessories you will want ones that tie in to the 2.0 version. You can see on the shopDisney MagicBand Store that they are all version 2 MagicBands. You can tell the 2nd versions apart from the first by their more round shape in the middle. The first versions were of a uniform width all the way around. 

    PERSONAL NOTE: I like to wear my Apple watch in the parks. The great thing about the version 2 MagicBands is that the main 'puck' can be removed. I purchased a puck holder on Etsy that slides onto my watch band. It holds that separated puck on my watch band, so I only have to wear one thing on my wrist in the parks. On the store link above you will find that there are other great alternatives to this, including lanyard clips that can be attached to a belt loop.
