My family of five is sailing on the Fantasy in December. With all three beds down, are you able to get out to the Verandah? I have this hope of listening to the ocean after the kiddos go to bed!

    Ahoy Chrissy!

Shiver me timbers!  I am excited to hEAR you are leaving the landlubbers behind and setting sail onboard the Disney Fantasy!

After a day full of eating, dancing and merriment with my fellow buccaneers, I too love to relax and listen to the ocean out on the verandah.  In most staterooms that sleep five pirates, the murphy bed does open out in front of your verandah door.  Aye, you will need to crawl over this bed to get to the verandah once your Stateroom Host has made up the stateroom for the evening.

If your pirates-in-training are little, two of them can sleep together on the fold down sofa eliminating the need for the murphy bed.  This will create a clearer path to the verandah while the little ones sleep.  Or if you have heavy sleepers like my pirates, you can place them to fall asleep in your bed and just move them to the murphy bed after you have come in for the evening.

What we have found when traveling is that our swashbuckling sweethearts love to stay at the Oceaneer Club until they close for the evening!  My husband and I will enjoy a beverage and room service on the verandah in the evening and right before we turn in for the evening, we go pick up our young ones at the club.  Everyone is as happy as Captain Hook chasing Peter Pan!
