Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Maria!
I am beyond thrilled to hear you will be setting sail with Captain Mickey for the
VERY FIRST TIME this spring! Only 100 days until you are sailing the high seas aboard my favorite ship, the
Disney Magic! It is the first ship my family sailed on together and I think it has an intimate, friendly atmosphere.
There are so many
onboard activities for you to enjoy during your cruise. Be sure to use your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find all of the treasures onboard for you including games, trivia, and
character experiences! My favorite character moments are with Disney royalty during the
Princess Gathering and Frozen Meet and Greet! These perfect princess events are included in your cruise fare but do require tickets for each person in attendance. Entertainment is subject to change, so use your Navigator App to check times and locations.
Your
advance booking window opens 75 days before you set sail, which is in just a few weeks. At this time, you can complete your online check-in and begin making reservations for Port Adventures,
Palo, Senses Spa and Salon as well as the ticketed princess events.
First time cruisers are treated to so much pixie dust as you discover all of the
magic of cruising with Captain Mickey. Once you debark at the end of your first cruise this spring, you will become a member of my favorite club, Disney Cruise Line's
Castaway Club! Returning cruisers are treated to many
benefits including early access to new itineraries, Port Adventures and even exclusive welcome back gifts!
Before you set sail, here are a few of my favorite tips for first time sailors! Bring a lanyard with a card holder at the end for everyone in your party to hold your Key to the World Card. Pack a bag to carry on the ship on embarkation day with your travel documents and any medication you may need. If you have room, put your swimsuits and sunscreen in the bag as well so you can enjoy the pools while you wait for your stateroom or luggage. Also, add a collapsible laundry bin and clothes pins (to hang wet swimsuits in your shower) to your
packing list!
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail. Enjoy every magical moment of your vacation, Maria!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
