Me and my family are going on our first cruise in September 2013. We are staying in a Family Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah. I was wondering if the cabins have coffee pots in them? If so do they provide coffee or do I need to pack some?

Welcome aboard, Denese! Your family has quite a bit to look forward to on your first Disney cruise this year! The Deluxe Family Staterooms with a Verandah are very roomy compared to other cruise lines' staterooms, and of course the Disney service is top notch!

You will not find a coffee pot in your stateroom, nor an iron, as those can be fire hazards onboard. The great news is that room service will be happy to deliver a piping hot carafe of coffee to your stateroom any time of the day or night, and this is complimentary. I do suggest, though, that you tip a few dollars to the Cast Member who delivers your coffee or food. If you're particular about your coffee you can pack your own instant coffee tubes like those Starbucks Via's, which are small and easy to pack. Then call room service for a carafe of hot water. You'll be able to relax on your verandah with your cup of coffee each morning as you sail!

Irons and ironing boards can be found in the guest laundry rooms throughout the ship, and I've never had to wait to use those. I've always found them available when I was ready to do a bit of ironing.

Have fun planning, Denese, and please stop back to ask any other questions you might have!
