Welcome to planDisney, Adam!
I'm excited to hEAR you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort this fall. I love all of the festive fall décor around the parks and resorts.
The World's Most Magical Celebration kicks off on October 1st, celebrating Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary, and it's sure to be fun for all.
Disney is no longer mailing any printed materials to Guests, including guide maps. As I'm sure you're aware, each park's guide map can be found on the park's homepage. For example, go to
Magic Kingdom Park's homepage and scroll down until you see a link for
Guest Services on the left. Next to this link you'll find a blue arrow and a
Magic Kingdom Guide Map link. Click that link and the current park map will open up. Then you can download the maps and even print them out at home. Please keep in mind these maps do change throughout the year, especially with the seasons and current special events.
Another great way to explore the parks is with the
My Disney Experience app. On the My Disney Experience app you can explore Walt Disney World Resort right on your smartphone. Not only does the app have an interactive, GPS-enabled map, but you can also use it to get attraction wait times, browse restaurant menus, make dining reservations, and place mobile food orders.
I would also suggest watching videos online to get better acquainted with the theme parks. The official
Disney Parks YouTube channel has dozens of video playlists to watch, including "Taking a Disney Parks Vacation" and "Virtual Disney Rides." planDisney also has a
Video Library on planDisney.com. Be sure to check out at all of the planning tips and must-dos from my fellow Panelists.
Adam, please visit planDisney again and let us know if we can help you with any other vacation planning questions before your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Have a magical day!
Bob
