You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney, Anjali!
I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question for us today.
What a wild ride the year 2020 was; I would dare to say it may even be wilder than “The The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness;” however,
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is far more fun!
I completely understand you wanting to renew your
Annual Pass. As you know, by being part of the Annual Passholder family, you’re able to take advantage of discounts on select merchandise, dining, and the biggest perk being that you’re able to return to the magic all yEAR long!
Anjali, Annual Passes can only be renewed up to 30 days after the expiration date. However, not all hope is lost because recently,
Disney Parks Blog announced that there would be sales of Annual Passes at Walt Disney World Resort once again! Although they didn’t give us a specific date, they did mention it would be in time to start the
50th-anniversary celebration beginning October 1st! Therefore, I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the
Walt Disney World Resort website, as they will be the first to make such a grand announcement!
I know you mentioned you’d like to come to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the first week of September, and I
called and spoke to a friendly Cast Member to see if you have any options regarding this. The Cast Member explained that you could always opt-in to purchase tickets for your upcoming visit, and if Annual Passes go on sale before your visit, you can use the value of your ticket purchase to add towards the cost of the Annual Pass. This, of course, is only subject to Annual Passes going on sale before your visit.
I am sending all the pixie-dust your way in the hope that you and your family can come to the magic in September, Anjali!
See ya real soon, pal!
Aena
