My family enjoys the disney dining plan and exploring new restaurants. On occasion, our schedule is tight and can not spend two hours at dinner. Is there any polite way to ask the server to hurry?

Hi, Kathleen!  With so much to do and so many things to see, most of the restaurant servers absolutely understand if you would like to get through your meal a bit more quickly.  If we aren't going to have time for a leisurely meal, we usually tell the server as soon as we are greeted that we are in a bit of a rush, and if there is anything they could do to help move the meal along a little, we would appreciate the effort.

Other things you can do to help expedite your dining time is to skip courses - appetizers and desserts are  usually the things we cut when time is of the essence.  You can also ask them to bring your salad with your meal instead of before if you are having a salad.  Also, feel free to ask for your check as soon as your last course has been delivered to your table.

They really don't mind helping you out by being as quick as possible if you tell them you are in a hurry.  Have a great trip!
