Hi our family is going to Disneyland for the first time in January 2026 for the rundisney events. I would like to stay at the Pixar place, but the reservation calendar doesn’t open past December 2025. It isn’t open yet for the end of January? Thanks

Welcome to planDisney, Maiara! Planning your hotel stay is just as essential as training for a runDisney race: you’ve got to pace yourself, stay on course, and know exactly when to make your move. Booking your Disneyland Resort accommodations at the right time can help your whole vacation go the distance!

As of now, the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort (including the Pixar Place Hotel) are accepting reservations through December 31 of this year. Reservation dates beyond that haven’t been released just yet. In previous years, availability and rates for the upcoming year have typically opened around August, which is just in time for a summer training break and some magical planning. While no official release date has been announced, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates on 2026 vacation packages and other exciting park news.

If you’re also planning to include theme park days during your visit (especially if you’re tying it into a race weekend), park tickets follow a slightly different timeline. Tickets are usually released up to 180 days in advance, though that’s always subject to change. You can check current availability on the Theme Park Tickets page of the Disneyland website. For example, if you're hoping to visit during a race weekend in early 2026, a great time to start checking for tickets would be around August 1, 2025. One more checkpoint on your planning course!

Since you’re considering a stay at the Pixar Place Hotel, here’s a Q-tip you won’t want to miss: this hotel offers a special entrance into Disney California Adventure Park exclusively for hotel guests. It’s located directly across the street from the hotel and leads you right into Pixar Pier. Talk about a shortcut worthy of Dash Parr! Hotel guests also get early park entry on select days, so you can use this entrance to get a jumpstart on your day. I found it especially helpful after a full park day (or after a race morning!) when I needed to head back and rest my feet quickly.

Maiara, I hope this helps you as you begin planning your Disneyland adventure! May your stay at the Pixar Place Hotel be magical and uplifting and may your race weekend go off without a hitch.

See you at the finish line!
