Ahoy there, Kareena!
Welcome to planDisney! Your Disney Cruise Line countdown is at single digits – you must be so excited!
One of the great things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is not having to worry about cash or credit cards! All of your onboard purchases (and purchases made at Disney Castway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point) will be charged to your stateroom folio. The form of payment you associated with your Onboard Account when you
completed your Online Check-In, will be the payment method for your folio. Now, that can be
credit or debit card, cash, or a Disney Gift Card. You can stop by the Guest Services desk and update your account at any time during your cruise.
If you choose to pay your onboard account with cash, when your account reaches $300
Guest Services will send a notification for you to visit the desk and cover that balance. On the last morning of your cruise, you will need to visit Guest Services by 7:00 a.m. to pay any remaining balance. You can also use cash for gratuities for Crew Members who deliver
Room Service or add additional gratuity for your
Rotational Dining team or your Stateroom Host, so it is nice to have some cash on hand. While in the ports, I recommend having small bills to pay for any souvenirs or snacks you want to purchase. For large purchases, I would consider using a credit card.
Speaking of Room Service, I always enjoy ordering from the complimentary menu, which includes Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, plus lots of other treats and yummy snacks. It is like the icing on the cake of an already wonderful vacation!
I hope this helps you as you prepare for your cruise, Kareena. I hope this week sails by and you are on your way to the port soon!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
