    My family is going to Disney in September and we have the Disney package with the Plus dining. I'm trying to make reservations for our sit down meals. When I get the date and time figured out it then asks for my credit card to guarantee . Is that normal?

    We love hearing from new friends here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, so thanks so much for sending us your question today!  You're going to love the Disney Dining Plan!  Not only is it super convenient, you'll get to experience some amazing meals and treats during your vacation!  Making those dining reservations in advance is definitely a "must do" if you want to guarantee your meal plans at a specific restaurant.  In almost every case, the credit card is required just to guarantee that reservation, so yes, that's totally normal.  Your card won't be charged unless you don't show up for your reservation, so if your plans change, just be sure to cancel at least a day in advance using the website, My Disney Experience mobile app or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).

    There is a very short list of exceptions to this general rule, though.  The locations listed below usually require payment in full at the time you make your reservation.  If you have a vacation package reserved that includes the Disney Dining Plan, I've heard that it might be possible to avoid this payment at the time you make your dining reservation.  If it doesn't give you this option online, just call that number above for help.
