Hi Rayna,
I love your family's style. As soon as November 1st hits, my house also switches into Christmas mode! There is nothing better than Disney World decorations for the holidays and I love when we are lucky enough to span both Halloween and Christmas in one trip.
There are videos on YouTube and Disney+ that showcase the switch from Halloween decor to Christmas decor at Magic Kingdom. They make it seem like magic, but it is a process that takes quite a bit of time. The switchover has begun overnight on October 31st in the past, with Christmas decorations appearing at Magic Kingdom before opening on November 1st. I have experienced this magical switchover before, and it is such a great way to kick off the season. The process normally takes place between November 1st and 3rd, but there is no guarantee that the theme park will be fully decorated until the first
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party event at Magic Kingdom. This year, that takes place on November 8th.
My advice would be to go for your plans and hope for the best! If the past is any indication that there will be Christmas decor at Magic Kingdom on November 1st, then you will not be disappointed. That being said, a schedule has not been released, so there is no guarantee that you will be greeted with Christmas magic before November 8th at Magic Kingdom. Even if the decor is not there in full force, don't let it dampen your Christmas spirit! Head over to Cinderella Castle and have one of the
PhotoPass photographers take a picture of your family in their Christmas best. It will make the perfect Christmas card photo to send to all of your family and friends.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
