I would like to take my family to Disney in May 2020 but I need to stay on a budget so I was looking for discounts of any kind but waiting for them to be posted is a problem as I have to put in for my vac. time in January 30 2020.  Any idea's?

    Hi Wendy,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help with planning your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! It's an honor to get to be part of helping your Disney dreams come true!

Disney Resort hotel stays are available to book for next year now, and if you find the perfect room for your stay and want to go ahead and grab it, definitely feel free to do so! The great news is that if a special offer becomes available later that applies, it is possible to apply the discount at that point. While we can never know for sure if or when Disney will announce special offers, I can tell you that this year, there was a Disney Resort hotel discount available for May announced in early January. For the couple years prior to that, there were similar offers announced around the same time of year. I'd definitely encourage you to keep your eye on the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page for any news, and I'm sending some pixie dust that the perfect offer will become available for your trip!

As a mama of many, I am always looking for ways to stretch our Disney dollars, so I have a couple of other tips for you. Did you know that you're able to bring your own food and drinks with you into the theme parks? There are a few rules you'll want to make sure you follow like no large coolers, loose ice, glass bottles, or alcoholic beverages, but packing some snacks or even a lunch or dinner could save you some money! Also, pressed pennies make a wonderful souvenir and don't cost much at all! Finally, my family loves the refillable popcorn bucket. It's an affordable and tasty snack that our entire crew can share, and when we happen to run out, we simply follow our nose to the next bucket of deliciousness.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip, Wendy. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation next May!
