    Hi! My family and I will be at Disney in March 2019. We were given DVC at the Poly! I have magic bands from a few years ago..... do I use those or will they ask us to get new ones?

    Aloha, Shannon! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question! Spending your days at Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows sounds like the most practically perfect way to vacation. This makes me think back to a wonderful evening we spent poolside at this resort, watching Magic Kingdom Park's nighttime spectacular while eating our favorite Disney treat, a Dole Whip. It does not get much more magical than that!

    MagicBands are a wonderful addition to your resort experience, doing everything from opening your resort room door to linking to your saved payment source for merchandise (and Dole Whip!) purchases. The battery within the MagicBand tends to only last a couple of years, so you may want to go ahead and order another MagicBand for each guest in your party. As a Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest, even in the Disney Vacation Club resorts, you will each receive complimentary MagicBands that can be customized in your choice of color. Since these are provided at no additional cost, you should go ahead and customize yours just in case your older MagicBands no longer work. Once you link your resort stay to your My Disney Experience account, you can head over to the MagicBands and Cards section of My Disney Experience to complete your MagicBand order. During this process, you can either provide your home address for shipping or elect to have them delivered to your resort hotel.
