Hi my family is going on the Disney Magic on Feb. 5 and I wanted to know if my 13 yr. old can use her phone's hotspot and not be charged for WiFi?

Hi Nidia, welcome aboard! I just returned from the Disney Magic yesterday, and they were getting excited onboard about their very first 4-night sailings out of Galveston. You'll be the second 4-night sailing they do, and I can tell you they have some fun things planned!

I would be sure to call your daughter's wireless provider to check on this before you set sail. We always turn our cell phones onto airplane mode when on the ship, as even accidentally receiving a text or downloading data can result in high charges from our carrier. You'd be better off knowing ahead of time, as those charges could really add up.

Also, if you can convince her to go without the internet or phone for your 4-night sailing, you'll find you'll really enjoy a rare opportunity to unplug and live in the moment with all Disney has to offer!
    Have a great cruise, Nidia!
