I am going with my family to Disney in July. I have a spouse military card so we want to use that to get the discounted tickets, but the credit being used to pay for the tickets would be in my dads name and not mine. Can we still get the military tickets?

Hey there, Taylor! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for bringing your great question our way!

From one military spouse to another, thank you (and your family) for your service! With the dedication and commitment of our service members, I fully believe that the best gift is quality time – and what better place for that time together than at Walt Disney World Resort? I'd love to help you navigate the planning process so you can get one step closer to your magical vacation!

Taylor, there are a few ways where you can purchase your Disney Military Salute Tickets with your valid spouse Military ID. For example, you can purchase these tickets through Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) from your local base or through Shades of Green. I've done both! From my experience, whether I'm purchasing through MWR or Shades of Green, I first submit a request for the type and number of tickets I'd like to purchase. Then, a few weeks later, I'll receive a phone call reiterating my request and confirming my method of payment. At this time, you're able to use your preferred payment. The most important part is that you have a valid and active spouse Military ID and you should be good to go!

Between the two options, I like to order my tickets through Shades of Green. Even though I have to pay a little extra to have the tickets shipped to me, I enjoy the fact that they arrive activated and ready to be used at the park entrance. No matter how you purchase your tickets, you'll want to make sure that you link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account and make your theme park reservations. Since theme park reservations can sometimes get booked up in advance, I'd recommend purchasing your tickets as soon as you're able!

I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today, Taylor! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
