Our family of 6 (4, 8, 11,13) has never been to Disney. We homeschool, so school is not an issue. We have the option of August 26-Sept.1 or Sept 2-8. Will there be a big difference in the size of crowds? I am not worried about weather, but CROWDS!!!

Congratulations on your first Walt DIsney World Vacation, Carla!  Your four children are going to love experiencing the magic of Disney!  I am also a mom of four with my children ranging between the ages of seven to fourteen. I completely understand wanting to choose a time of year when the parks tend to be less crowded for your first Disney Vacation. According to the unofficial website allears.net,  September 2nd - September 8th would be the least crowded of the two weeks. I visit allears.net  frequently and they offer a Historic Attendance Levels in their "When Should I Go?" section. In their Historic Attendance Levels, mid June through Labor Day is considered "Highest Attendance" whereas, the week following Labor Day until the week prior to Thanksgiving is listed as "Lowest Attendance." You may find the parks to be more crowded on Labor Day Weekend, but then get thinner as the week progresses. I hope this information helps!  Please let me know if you have any additional vacation planning questions that I can assist you with. Best wishes for a Magical First Walt Disney World Vacation, Carla!
    Happy Planning,
