    My family and I are going on the Disney Fantasy over New Years! Do I need to bring beach towels and beach toys for the days we are on shore? We are spending the day on the beach in St. Thomas. What are the laundry facilities on board like? Thank you!

    Ringing in the New Year aboard the newest gem in the Disney fleet sounds like the perfect way to welcome 2013!  Hopefully a New Year's cruise will bring an extra dose of pixie dust to your family in the coming year!
    The Eastern Itinerary has some fabulous ports of call, and you will love spending your St. Thomas & Castaway Cay day relaxing in the warm sun, twinkling your toes in the white sand, and splashing around in the turquoise waters! Disney Cruise Line does provide beach towels both onboard and when going ashore.  Crew members will be passing out towels when you disembark, and you can drop them upon your return.  Since you are spending time at the beach on St. Thomas, you might want to bring a few sand toys or just some plastic cups or containers from home that can easily be packed in your luggage.  Your last port of call Disney's exclusive island, Castaway Cay, you will find Disney themed sand toys for sale at the shop, She Shells Seas Shells. 
    There are seven laundry facilities onboard the Fantasy on Decks Two, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten.  Each one has several washers & dryers which will run you about $2.00 each.  You can bring your own detergent or purchase some for $1.00.  You won't need cash though because the fees will go on your "Key to the World" card.  There are irons and ironing boards also available and are free to use.  If you plan on doing a few loads, don't forget to bring a laundry bag!
