Hi my family and I will be going on our 2nd Disney cruise. I was thinking about doing the dolphin encounter excursion on British Tortola. Wondering if it's worth doing or if you can suggest something else? We're traveling with a 9,7,&3 yr.old.

    Ahoy, Jenise!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know you can't wait to embark on your second Disney Cruise as an official member of the Castaway Club. Planning fun ashore is one of my favorite parts of the process, so I'm glad you cruised by with your Port Adventure question. I think the Tortola Dolphin Encounter is a great choice for your crew because they will be able to soak up lots of information about these amazing creatures and love the hands-on interactions in the water. My family has interacted with dolphins before, and it was definitely a highlight of our time ashore. The excursion only lasts about two hours and is located close to the ship so the timing should work out perfectly with the ages of your sailors. When my kiddos were younger, they always did better with the shorter Port Adventures. They didn't want to miss any of the action back on the ship!

Jenise, thank you again for visiting us with another excellent cruise question. Please keep us posted with any additional questions you may have about your next Disney Cruise vacation!

    Have a magical day!
