Welcome aboard, Emma!
A spring escape to the Bahamas with Disney Cruise Line sounds so perfect right now as I watch rain fall outside my window here in Ohio. I sure wish I were swimming in the waters off
Castaway Cay instead! And soon, you will be!
Disney Cruise Line offers fantastic
Port Adventures in each of its ports of call, including the beautiful island paradise of Castaway Cay. My family and I love renting bikes or snorkeling gear to explore Castaway Cay. But, another fun way to see unique parts of the island is on a kayak! The
Castaway Cay Walking and Kayak Nature Adventure is a really special one because it allows participants unprecedented access to some of the island that other guests don't get to see. You'll kayak all around and even stop on a private beach that other guests don't even know is there. What a treat! Pricing is always subject to change, so you can check out the current price for this on the adventure's details page and read even more about it there.
I have also seen kayaks for rent individually over at Gil's Fins and Boats, and the last time I was there, they were around $20, but again, since prices are always subject to change you'll want to check at Gil's once you arrive on the island. The kayaks couldn't be pre-booked online, but were simply available to walk up and rent. These rentals are limited to a certain area in the lagoon, so if you're hoping to really get out and explore, your best bet is to go with the Walking and Kayak Nature tour.
Have so much fun exploring all of the adventures offered, Emma, and I hope you find a few that are just right for your family!
