My family is going to Disney in Aug. we are on the Disney dining plan, I was curious on what is considered a "snack" on the plan. Is it just food trucks (ie ice cream) or can it be quick service?

Hi, Laurie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for stopping by with this delicious question! The Disney Dining Plans make meal times while on vacation super easy. We just pick out our favorite spots to dine or decide on a few new tastes to try and off we go. Of course, snack time while at Walt Disney World Resort is a serious adventure, too! There are so many quintessential Disney treats - Dole Whips, churros, Mickey pretzels, oh my! You will be able to enjoy these Disney treats and so many more with your snack credits.

Laurie, items that can make use of your Disney Dining Plan snack credits can be found all over the Resort. There are carts in the theme parks, Quick Service locations, and even shops with treats galore. My main tip to you is to look for the purple and white Disney Dining Plan logo next to an item. This signifies that a snack credit can be used to purchase it. Snack items are usually single-serving foods, like a cupcake, a piece of fruit, or a scoop of popcorn or ice cream. I often use a snack credit at breakfast in our resort's Quick Service location, where I can get oatmeal or a pastry. At Quick Service locations, the snack eligible items are usually the sides and desserts. If you ever need help determining for sure if an item is snack credit eligible, just ask a nearby Cast Member.

Many beverages can be purchased with snack credits. My favorite spot to do this is at any of the Starbucks locations, where you can get any size drink (yes, any of them!) for a single snack credit. Oh, how my Venti Macchiato takes on new levels of magical pixie-dust while on Main Street, U.S.A.!

I hope this helps you understand better how to use your Disney Dining Plan! If you have any other questions about it, please let us know!
