    Our family is going for 2Days to WDW. Plan to hit all 4 parks in 2 days going to hotel pool in between. I have a very active 11-yr boy. We want a pool with a fun slide etc. Prefer 2 queen beds. We will have car. What mod resort recommend? and isplan

    Laurie,

    For a variety of reasons I often recommend one of the Port Orleans resorts when people ask for recommendations in the Moderate class of resort. In this case I am going to break out from that, and recommend you stay at Coronado Springs. Here are a few reasons why;
    • Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs are more centrally located to the overall Walt Disney World property, so you are going to typically going get to your parks faster.
    • Coronado Springs has queen size beds, unlike the Caribbean Beach which has doubles.

    As it happens, I have stayed there more than at any other moderate, and I am a fan. I love the room quality since the recent renovation. I think the pool is a fun area for kids of many ages, but increasingly better for 'older' kids like your 11 year old. I also like the theming.

    If you can, request a room in the Cabanas section you will optimize your location to the pool and the main lobby building.

    Write me back if you are interested in more about this resort or other planning!

    Have a magical vacation!
