My family and I are currently coming to Disney World in May this year. Our family is 6 adults and 2 children. We are staying at Coronado Springs. Is this a good choice for our family?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cheryl! I’m happy to see that you are busy planning your family’s vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a beautiful place to stay. One of my best friends will only stay at the Southwestern- themed Disney resort because of its spectacular pool. The Lost City of Cibola Pool boasts a 50-foot Mayan Pyramid as part of its décor, along with a 123-foot-long waterslide! I see many big splashes in your future!

You can accommodate a party of eight at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort by reserving a stay at their Casitas- Executive Suite or to make a reservation for adjoining or connecting rooms. Adjoining rooms may be easier to reserve since they are rooms that are side by side, nearby or across from each other. Connecting rooms are rooms that have a door in-between them which will “connect” the rooms.

If you choose to go with the adjoining/ connecting room route, I find that the best way to make these arrangements is to call the Walt Disney World Resort Reservation line directly at (407) 939-1936. While they cannot be guaranteed, Cast Members will do everything they can to make sure your party is comfortable.

Along with these great accommodations, you will also enjoy the many benefits of being a Disney Resort guest!

Cheryl, you've picked a fantastic place to stay and these are just a few suggestions. If you need any more help as you’re planning your magical visit, please feel free to stop by and see us again!
