Hello Natasha!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by to ask a question today. It truly is a whole new world at the Walt Disney World Resort. Many Guests have the same dilemma you are speaking of, so I am glad you stopped in to see us. I wish I had a magic wand and could sprinkle pixie-dust on your situation and fix it immediately but I don't have the power of a Fairy Godmother. But have no fear I am hear to offer some friendly advice and assistance.
Myself, along with many of my Moms Panel pals have also had to modify trip plans, so we can sympathize with you. We have all noticed that call volume is high and the wait times on the phone lines have been longer than normal. If you have an upcoming Walt Disney Resort hotel stay you should have been sent an e-mail from Disney Destinations that gives information on
operational updates. This e-mail also contains a section that asks if you would like to confirm, modify or cancel your upcoming visit. If you are still planning on coming I would choose the modify option. By doing this it puts you on a list for a Disney Cast Member to contact you about your reservation. Since your reservation is in December it may take a little while to hear back from them. They are working with Guests who have arrival windows in July first, then August and so on. If you do feel more comfortable calling, I do recommend calling
Disney Resort Hotel reservations when the phone lines first open in the morning at 7 a.m. (EST) . Natasha, you will notice also when you visit the
Walt Disney World Resort website occasionally a blue CHAT NOW button will appear, you can try clicking that to ask a question about your stay as well. I have gotten some answers rather quickly using that method of communication.
I am crossing my fingers and wishing on a star that your plans can be changed and you will be
Returning to a World of Magic this December. I always like to say it just takes a little faith, trust and pixie dust to make your Disney vacation dreams a reality. Please pop in again anytime we can lend a helping hand.
Dream as Dreamers Do,
Jen
