My family will be cruising out of Galveston in February to Cozumel and Grand Cayman. There are 2 adults and 2 kids. Do we need a passport?

    Ahoy Kate!
It is wonderful to hear from you again!  Your February voyage is just around the corner, and I'm sure your crew is ready for a magical week aboard the Disney Magic!  Since your cruise begins and ends in a U.S. home port, birth certificates will be fine for your vacation.  But, Disney Cruise Line does recommend passports for all their Guests in the case of an unforeseen emergency in a foreign port of call.  Although they are not needed to cruise out of the country, they are needed to fly back to the states.  The passport information is listed on www.disneycruise.com, and my advice is to read over it so you can make the best decision for your family.
I hope this helps, Kate!  Thanks so much for using the Moms Panel for all your cruise questions!
    Have a wonderful day!
