Hello to all, my family and I will be cruising on the Disney Dream this coming Sept. We are doing a land vac first before the cruise so we plan to arrive early at Port Canaveral any idea in what order do they allowing guest to board? just to have an ideaTy

Welcome aboard, Ana! Setting sail with Disney Cruise Line after enjoying a few days at the Walt Disney World Resort is the best way to vacation, in my opinion! There's nothing better than a land and sea Disney adventure!

If you haven't already, check out the Disney Cruise Line ground transfers. For an additional $35 per person each way, motorcoaches will pick you up at your Walt Disney World Resort, send your luggage to meet you in your stateroom, and transport you in style to the port. You'll enjoy your hour long trip by watching Disney Cruise Line videos and classic Disney cartoons, and before you know it, you'll be arriving at the port. If you opt for this, Disney takes care of all of the details! It's the way to go, I promise!

Once at the port, you'll be able to check in and receive a boarding number. Boarding numbers are different than the Port Arrival Times you'll choose when completing online check-in. That is just an estimated time of arrival at port. Boarding numbers are called to allow your group to get on the ship, and these are assigned as you arrive. When we use Disney's transfers, we arrive after the crowds have already boarded, so we've always found that we could pretty much head right onto the ship as we arrive because most numbers had been called at that point. It's very relaxing to do it that way!

However, if you arrive at the port on your own, you will still receive a boarding number, but if you're there as the port opens, you'll find that you need to wait for awhile until your number is called to board. They begin with Concierge and Platinum Castaway Club members and then call boarding numbers from lowest to highest. Bring a few snacks to keep the kids from getting too hungry while you wait to board. Lunch will be waiting for you on the Dream, so you can head right there once you set foot on the ship.

I hope that helps as you continue to plan, Ana. Stop back if you have other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
