Ahoy, Sabrina!
I'm so glad to
hEAR from you again! Time seems to be flying by, and your cruise on the
Disney Magic is now just a few months away! I know you can't wait to
experience all a Disney Cruise offers, including a visit to their private island paradise,
Castaway Cay. It will be a vacation like no other for your seafaring crew!
Sabrina, I've been fortunate enough to cast off on a cruise adventure in every month of the yEAR, so I'm glad to share what you may experience on sailing during the winter. Temperatures in the
Bahamas in January range from lows in the upper 60s to highs in the upper 70s. I'm sure these temperatures will feel heavenly coming from New Jersey! When you are creating a
packing list, I do suggest bringing summer clothing with a few pieces you can layer as it may feel cooler on deck, especially in the mornings and evenings. The water temperatures in January are in the mid-70s, so you'll find many Guests participating in
splashtacular Port Adventures and enjoying the beach on Disney Castaway Cay. Onboard,
pools are heated to at least 75 degrees. So be sure to include your swimsuits and sunscreen on your list of what to bring! A few days before you leave for Miami, I do recommend checking a weather app or website for the current conditions in the Bahamas, so you have everything you need before you fly south!
A MAGICal voyage awaits you in 2020, Sabrina. I know you are counting down to your inaugural sailing with Mickey! Please let us know what other questions you may have about your upcoming vacation. We'd love to help again.
