We are a family of 7 and are going on a cruise from port canaverl then wdw. Is it cheaper and/ or easier to rent a car at MCO. Pay for parking at the terminal then drive back to Disney world. Then at the end of the trip drive back to airport to return car?

    Ahoy Marianne!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Your crew has a lot to look forward to on your surf & turf vacation this March!  I think renting a car might be a great option for your family!  There are several rental car agencies both at the airport and by the cruise terminal (Avis,Hertz & Budget).  If you want to save a little money on parking, I recommend renting at the airport, dropping your family off at Port Canaveral, returning the car at the port location then hoping on their shuttle to meet up with your family.  After you disembark the ship, you can hop back on the shuttle to pick up another car for your Walt Disney World stay.
If you do decide to park at the port, the parking rates are always subject to change so be sure to check back right before your magical vacation begins!
I hope this helps, Marianne!  Please let me know if you think of any other cruise questions!  I'm always happy to assist future cruisers just like you!
    Have a wonderful day!
