My family is consitering taking a trip to WDW in Jan '14 as it is somethng we have been wanting to do for years now but life has always gotten in the way; circumtaces are not ideal (mom hip replacement , son PDD-NOS). Is this even doable???

    Hi Melissa!

Yes! You can absolutely enjoy a magical trip to Walt Disney World!

I was in a similar situation last year when I brought my mom to Walt Disney World. My mom has limited mobility, but we found that by renting an ECV, she was able to get around great!

Additionally, you will be pleasantly surprised that Many of the attractions have entertaining queues for guests, which will be great for your son. For example, with the Dumbo attraction, you can actually get a pager to beep you when it's your turn and your son can play on the indoor themed playground while you wait. Parents can sit, which is especially helpful for those with mobility issues.

i hope you have a magical vacation.

    Magically,
    Stacy
