Hi there! My family and I are considering going to disneyland in November. Right before the Christmas season and right after Halloween. I was wondering though if there will be the classic parades and fireworks during that time? We really love those shows!

Hi there, Mckenzie, and welcome to planDisney!

I loved hearing that you and your family are thinking about visiting the Disneyland Resort in early November! The crowd levels have historically been low during the transition period between Halloween and the Holiday Season, so it's a great time to visit. You might still get to see some festive decorations as they prepare for the Holiday Season to begin on November 15, though!

The Entertainment Schedule for the Disneyland Resort is usually posted about six weeks in advance, so we don't have any concrete information into what might be scheduled at that time of year. But I'm thrilled to learn that you are a fan of the classic nighttime spectaculars! Remember that both Parks will be operating with off season hours, so they will be closing earlier in the evenings. And if we are to look at what happened last year as a precedent, I can confirm that regular World of Color performances did occur in Disney California Adventure between Halloween and Christmas. Also, Mickey's Mix Magic was the nighttime spectacular that was shown at Disneyland Park, with fireworks on select nights. And as for parades, Guests enjoyed seeing their favorite Disney characters in Halloween Cavalcades but no formal parades were scheduled until A Christmas Fantasy Parade began for the Holidays. I guess Mickey and his friends just needed some extra time to make those magical changes!

I'd recommend following the Disney Parks Blog to see what you might be seeing during your visit. Even though you'll be there during the transition period, it might still give you a better idea of dates and shows that will be happening. They'll often post a "Halfway to Halloween" and "Halfway to the Holidays" update. This is usually the time that "it's a small world" will be down for its Holiday transformation. But the exciting news is that you should be able to experience Haunted Mansion Holiday along with the all new Grounds Expansion!

As you can see from the 2024 Events Calendar, there's never a dull moment at the Happiest Place on Earth! I hope this helped a little with your planning, Mckenzie. Please feel free to write to us again if you have any more questions leading up to your trip! We'd love to continue being involved.

    Have a Magical Day!

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
