Family of 4 (8&14) comming to WDW from Australia 3/26/2012, staying off park to break up the days @ DW, with a few other sights, how are the crowds at this time? Any suggestion for a special dinner also as it will be or 18th wedding aniversary .

    Hi Deonie,

Welcome to Walt Disney World! I would love to visit Australia one day but I am super excited you are coming to the US!

The crowds might be a little bigger as you are coming at the end of college spring break. Easter is two weeks after you arrive so as Easter Sunday approaches the crowds will get bigger. However, this will not be at the levels of the week between Christmas and New Years or during the busiest crowds of the summer because school across the United States break different weeks during the spring.

Congratulations on your 18th wedding anniversary! Since special means something different to everyone, I will throw out a few options.

The ultimate would be dining at Victoria & Albert's. This restaurant in the Grand Floridian is the ultimate in six course prix fixe dining. The food is amazing as the service. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

California Grill would be my preference as it sits at the top of the Contemporary Resort. With the Magic Kingdom fireworks for a back drop, it is hard to beat the food and location for dinner.

Jiko over at the Animal Kingdom Lodge also has wonderful food and atmosphere. You can then experience the resort after dinner including seeing some animals.

Finally, if you want all out crazy fun head to my favorite restaurant - the Whispering Canyon Cafe. This crazy, fun dining adventure is located at the Wilderness Lodge. I loved having my birthday here.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
