Hello, My family is coming to WDW May 31 this year and I was looking at the Star Wars Weekend fun. I was reading up and Wanted to know more about the nighttime spectacular. Is this in place of fantasmic or in addition to?

    Hi Melissa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your galactic getaway will be here before you know it.  How exciting!

Star Wars Weekends is an all-time favorite in my family and I can't wait to see what new experiences are planned for this year.  One thing I'm glad to see if returning is Symphony in the Stars.  This is a Star Wars-themed show that features fireworks, Star Wars Characters and some special surprises.  You can catch it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. during Star Wars Weekends (May 15, 2015-June 14, 2015).  This does not replace Fantasmic!, which is also scheduled nightly at 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., so you can get the best of both worlds.  If you want to enjoy both shows on the same night, I'd recommend seeing Symphony in the Stars at 9:30 p.m. and then heading over to the 10:30 p.m. Fantasmic! show...and maybe grabbing a sweet treat in between.  Yum!

For even more great information about Star Wars Weekends, I recommend checking out this 'May the Fun Be with You!' video from my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Amiyrah.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Melissa, and please let us know if you have any other questions.  May the Force be with you!
