Welcome to planDisney John! Thanks for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you’re planning a magical stay at
Walt Disney World Resort! With so many ways to experience the magic, I’m happy to help clarify how to book a one night stay and a 1 day theme park ticket to make your visit as seamless as possible.
If you’re looking to book your stay as a vacation package (which includes both your Disney Resort hotel and theme park tickets), the minimum ticket requirement is 2 park days. However, since you’re only looking for a 1 day ticket, you’ll need to book your resort and park ticket separately.
To book your Disney Resort hotel, start by visiting the Walt Disney World
homepage and using the “Build Your Vacation” tool at the top of the page. Enter your arrival and departure dates, along with the number of adults and children in your party. The website defaults to showing all Disney Resort hotels, and I recommend keeping it this way so you can view all available options. Once you hit “View Rates,” you’ll see a list of resorts along with their pricing per night. After selecting a resort, choose “Room” instead of a vacation package or any other offers. From there, pick your preferred room type and follow the steps to complete your booking.
Once your resort stay is confirmed, return to the Walt Disney World homepage (or click this
link) to purchase theme park tickets. Hover over “Tickets & Parks” and select “Buy Theme Park Tickets.” After clicking “Continue,” select the 1 day ticket option and follow the prompts to choose your date, ticket type, and finalize your purchase.
I hope you find this information helpful John, thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
