I have family coming from NJ and they are doing Magic Kingdom on Sat 1/1/22. I am a Florida resident and I bought my ticket but when I went to reserve that day for Magic Kingdom it wouldn't let me. Says no reservations available. Can I get a refund?

    Greetings LuEllen!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by with your question for us.

I bet your family is thrilled to be starting off the New Year full of magic at Walt Disney World Resort! I'm sorry you are having trouble finding theme park reservations for Magic Kingdom Park. I did go in to check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar for January 1st, and you’re right; it doesn’t look like Magic Kingdom Park has any availability currently.

Although theme park tickets are nonrefundable, you would be able to modify the ticket and change your visit dates to another time. Also, unused theme park tickets never lose their value, even when expired. Thus, you would also be able to apply wholly unused tickets’ monetary value towards new tickets in the future if the current ones do expire.

Since the system calendar updates live as people change their plans, I recommend you keep checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see if Disney Park Pass reservation availability opens up for Magic Kingdom Park.

If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to call and speak to a Cast Member at Existing Tickets. They’ll be happy to look further into the issue for you!

We hope to see you soon, LuEllen!
