    My family will be coming in Jan. 09. We want to stay at WL. I was wondering about the rooms with bunk-beds. I have 2 sons ages 6 and 7. Will the bunk beds free up space in the room instead of 2 queen beds?

    Hi Mary,

    I have not stayed in the rooms at the Wilderness Lodge that have the bunkbeds but have stayed at the Animal Kindgom Lodge in a room with bunkbeds.

    I do not know how much room you will save in space. The bunkbeds are the size of a standard twin bed not thin at all. They were very nice and spacious, and there was a railing around the top and a secure ladder.

    I liked the bunkbed option because Jess and Nicole each had their own space and did not have to share a bed with each other. After a long day of touring, the last think I wanted to hear was who was hogging the covers.

    I think you will enjoy your stay at the Wilderness Lodge. My husband votes it as his favorite resort and you truly feel like you are in Pacific Northwest.

    I hope you can enjoy a meal at my favorite restaurant the Whispering Canyon Cafe!
