    My family and I are coming for our first Disneyworld trip from England in April 2017and are luckily there to do the runDisney Dark Side events. Do the children run by themselves in the 1 mile run on the 21st of April or can parents run with them? Thank you

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited for you and your family to not only experience Walt Disney World for the first time, but a runDisney weekend at that!

    During Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend- The Dark Side, parents are certainly allowed to run alongside during the runDisney Kids Races and as the 'runDisney Mom', I personally encourage it! I think it's a great way for you and your kiddo to participate in something together and chEAR one another on. If you do plan on participating, runDisney just asks that you sign a separate event waiver for yourself in addition to the one you'll submit for your child.
