    We have family coming to Disney a world some time this summer or fall. While I understand I must be present at check in for their tickets, can I purchase tickets using my florida residence discount or my annual passholder discount as gifts? Adults/children

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Maria! Thanks for stopping in with your questions. I’m so happy to know that you’re considering a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your family later this year. You’re going to have a wonderful time!

    You may purchase Florida Resident theme park tickets for your grandchildren who are under the age of 18. Any other adults visiting would not be able to use tickets meant for Florida Residents and would have to purchase regular theme park tickets. This is because all adults using these promotional tickets must show Proof of Florida Residency to activate them. 

    When it comes to using your Walt Disney World Annual Passholder benefits, you can absolutely purchase discounted tickets for yourself and three other family members for special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. You can also purchase discounted tickets for Disney After Hours events and one-day water park tickets! Just check the Passholder Extras page on the Disney site for a list of all the additional benefits you can enjoy as a Passholder.

    Maria, you can also use your Florida Resident status to enjoy discounts on Disney Resort hotel rooms. The Special Offers page on the Disney site will list the promotions for each season. You can definitely reserve a room and have your family stay with you!
