Hi Bobbijo,
Character meals are just fantastic, the food is normally delicious, it's a nice way to rest tired feet and best of all your children, and you if you want, will get some one on one time with their favourite characters.
There are several different restaurants you can book, which ones you choose will really depend on which characters are the children's favourites. If you click this link
HERE it will take you to the restaurant page on the official Disney World site, if you select character dining which is under Dining Experience on the left hand side it will list all the restaurants. Another great site is
www.allears.net look under character dining on the dining pages.
If your children love the Pooh Characters then a visit to the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom is a must, you can normally find Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore here and the buffet food is delicious. If you have Chip & Dale fans then head to the Garden Grill in Epcot, the character interaction here is great and the restaurant rotates through a section of the Land ride whilst you dine. Also present here are normally Mickey and Pluto.
I'm not sure if your children are still into the Playhouse Disney characters but at the Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios you can dine with JoJo & Goliath from JoJo's Circus and June & Leo from Little Einsteins. I see you know about Cinderella's Royal Table but another great Princess meal is at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway in Epcot, it's much easier to get a reservation here and it's cheaper too!
I hope I've helped a bit, whichever you decide please make sure to call dining on 407-939-3463 as soon as you are 90 days before your arrival to book.
Jo
