Welcome aboard, Becky! What a wonderful celebration you have in store aboard the Disney Wonder next month for your daughter's birthday! I just sailed on the newly re-imagined Disney Wonder in November and can tell you that there are so many amazing new venues,
restaurants, and activities waiting for you onboard! I know your daughter will love the new Tiana's Place!
Disney Cruise Line is wonderful about working with families who have
food allergies. I recommend that you contact the agents at Disney to note your daughter's allergy on your reservation and discuss any specific information you will need to know. For life-threatening or severe allergies, guests should also contact the Special Services Team as soon as possible before the cruise, so you may need to call them to discuss additional options or requests.
Disney suggests that guests with allergies plan to eat all of their meals in the Table Service restaurants, as the kitchens there are better set up to handle special allergy requests. However, you will find some additional gluten-free options at some of the Quick Service spots onboard. There will be plenty of choices for your little princess, but chatting with the Special Services Team is a good place to start. And once onboard, when in doubt, please ask! The Cast Members are amazing!
One wonderful thing about sailing with Disney when you have food allergies is that your dining servers travel with you each night to your assigned restaurant, rotating through them with you each night throughout your cruise. It's great because they get to know each of you, your favorites, your needs due to allergies, and you won't have to re-explain to new servers each night.
