    My family and I are celebrating this coming Christmas at WDW, we have magic bands we bought back in 2019. Can we have a magic band and magic mobile both linked at the same time? Just incase the battery is week?

    Hello there Stephen!  Thanks for stopping by planDisney with another great question.

    You are most welcome to reuse your MagicBands from your previous trip.  I have quite a collection of MagicBands myself, and I usually bring several bands from previous trips with me when I visit Walt Disney World Resort so I can choose the color or design that suits my mood on any given day.  I do have some MagicBands that are several years old, and they work just fine at any "Mickey to Mickey" touchpoints, such as theme park entry tapstyles, unlocking the door to my Disney Resort Hotel room, and payment terminals.  The issue with some of the older bands is the long-range battery is no longer working, and my on-ride Disney PhotoPass photos do not automatically connect to my account.  An easy fix for me was to create a Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Disney Experience app and save it to the digital wallet on my mobile device.  As long as I have enabled Bluetooth, I can leave my phone in my bag and my photos will connect.

    You may use any and all MagicBands, Key to the World cards, and a Disney MagicMobile pass linked to your profile interchangeably -- whichever is most convenient for you at the moment.  They can all be active at the same time.
