Can our family bring in snack food in the Disney World parks?

    Dear Larry,

Thank you for bringing us your question! You must be super excited about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! I know it seems like it's still a few months away, but let me tell you, before you know it, it'll be time to start packing!

Guests are welcome to bring food and drinks into the theme parks as long as they are not inside any glass containers. Alcohol, as you can imagine, is not allowed into the theme parks. If you are planning to bring those yummy foods in a backpack or cooler, keep in mind those cannot be larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm).

Remember as well that loose ice is not allowed into the theme parks. If you would like for your items to stay cool, feel free to bring those reusable ice packs that keep food and drinks cold inside your backpack or cooler. I suggest you check out the revised Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules for details about what is allowed and what isn't.

If you would like to have some snacks and water (always plan to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated) waiting for you in your resort hotel, you may want to have a few shipped ahead of time. Most guests use Amazon, Instacart, Dizzy Dolphin and a few other online vendors. If you choose to use one of these, be sure the company clearly labels your boxes and includes the information below:

-Guest Name (that the Reservation is under)
    -Arrival Date
    -Resort Name
-Resort's Full Address (City, State and Zip)

It is advisable to write the word “GUEST” large and legible on the address label next to your name or on the box itself (better to do it in more than one  place, just in case) so the company clearly knows your package must be passed on to Bell Services. Packages received will add a $6.00 (*prices are always subject to change without prior notice) to your room reservation (to be paid at check-out) folio.

Larry, I hope this information is helpful. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions, we love to help!

    Wishing the most pixie-dusted vacation,

    ~Desiree

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
