My family of 5 (boys, 9,8&5) is staying at POR in Sept. We've been to DW once, have the dining plan. Planning on Coral Reef at Epcot one night & Chef Mickey's once (bkfast?). Can you recommend other can't miss table service ideas?

Hi, Dana!  It's hard to suggest a restaurant that your family might enjoy without knowing your particular preferences, but some absolute hits with my girls (ages 17, eight and four) include the following:

SciFi Dine In at Disney's Hollywood Studios - I have to tell you, the food in my opinion isn't the best Disney World has to offer, but the atmosphere can't be beat, and my kids love this restaurant.  You dine in cars as if you were at a drive in movie theater from back in the day (well, back in my day, but I'm getting pretty darn old!), and you can watch clips from old B movies.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge - This restaurant is fun and definitely kid friendly for all ages.  My nephews, who are now 17 and nine, ask to go here almost every time we all head down to Walt Disney World.

Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge - A delicious buffet with an African flair, the best part of dining here, after the incredible meal, is taking the kids out to the Savannah to see the animals and hear the African story tellers.

Prime Time 50s Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios - How cool is it for a kid to see Mom get yelled at for putting her elbows on the table?  Or how awesome is it for Dad to be told it's his turn to set the table?  This is a fun dining experience where even Mom and Dad are treated like one of the kids - so you'd better eat your veggies or no dessert!

If you want specific types of food, just send in another question and I'll do my best to get the information for you!

    Enjoy your upcoming trip!
