Ahoy, Brad! Welcome, and thank you for sailing on over with your question.
Brad, I so very much feel your pain. My daughter has decided to delay our big family
Disney Cruise Line vacation until my grandchildren are able to enjoy the things on a Disney Cruise the way she did when she was small. Of course, that includes being able to hug and interact up close and personal with the characters.
As of right now, the onboard
character experiences are still being conducted under socially distant conditions.
Character greetings are still being held, and I know firsthand that the characters go out of their way to be enthusiastic about meeting the kids, even though they can't get too close. It's a different experience, but still a memorable, magical one.
The maiden voyage of the
Disney Magic was my very first cruise ever, and I hope you fall in love with this ship the way I did. With 7 glorious days at sea on the
Transatlantic sailing, you'll have plenty of time to explore the
amenities, activities, and onboard fun the Magic has to offer. The
Youth Clubs will offer even more fun activities for the girls to enjoy than on your typical cruise, and there should be plenty of time for the grown-ups to have an evening out at
Palo or
Keys Piano Bar.
But still hope, Brad! Keep an eye on the
Know Before You Go information because this information could change before you sail in just a few weeks. I will keep my fingers crossed that it does.
I wish you smooth sailing, Brad!
Anna
