Hi Susan, and welcome back to planDisney! It sounds like all you lovely folks have got a dream, and that dream is to meet Flynn Rider at Disney World. That would be the best day ever, wouldn’t it?!
So, let’s talk about where you can spot that famous smolder! If you visit the Tangled-themed bathrooms in
Magic Kingdom (it’s next to
“it’s a small world”), you’ll see wanted posters looking for Flynn. This explains why he’s not so easy to find!
While Flynn isn’t at any regular meet and greets or character meals, he does make a few appearances in Magic Kingdom. My favorite is watching Flynn swing from the Tangled float during the
Festival of Fantasy Parade! This parade starts in Frontierland and ends in Town Square at the front of the park. It’s usually easier to get a last-minute viewing spot along the parade route in Frontierland, but my go-to place to watch is in Town Square near the statue of Roy and Minnie Mouse. You get an amazing view as the floats turn off of Main Street, U.S.A.!
In addition to the parade, you can find Flynn with Rapunzel in
Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire on the Cinderella Castle stage. That show runs a few times a day, so you’ve got several chances to see him!
Sometimes Flynn also meets guests at special events like
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or on Valentine’s Day in the parks, but these aren’t typically announced in advance. It might take a bit of luck, but I’m wishing on a star that you get to meet him during one of your trips!
Finally, there are two hidden gems that your Tangled-loving family might enjoy. First is taking a picture with a glowing Rapunzel lantern! After sunset, you’ll usually find a
PhotoPass photographer near the Tangled-themed bathrooms. You can check the exact hours in the
My Disney Experience app. Go to the location icon at the bottom of the screen (looks like an upside-down teardrop), scroll through the icons at the top until you see PhotoPass, and filter by location for Magic Kingdom Park. If you press Show List, you can go down and select Rapunzel Lantern to see that day’s hours. It’s such a special picture to take with your whole family!
The other tribute to Tangled that I love is at
Rivera Resort. Near the
Skyliner station, you’ll find a beautiful mosaic of the movie’s lantern scene. It’s absolutely stunning and also makes a great backdrop for photos!
I hope this helps you find all the Tangled fun at Disney World! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
