    My family and I are going back to Disney in 2012 for my birthday, I wanted to do something fun with out the kids and someone at the office suggested Pleasure Island but another co-worker thought that it was closed, do you know anything about this?

    Hi, Cara! Pleasure Island was built in 1989 as a nightclub district in the center of the Downtown Disney complex.  It is currently closed and undergoing development into a new district that is tentatively named Hyperion Wharf.  You can read  more about what's happening in all of Downtown Disney by checking out this blog.  While you're there, be sure to sign up for the Disney Parks Blog daily email.  It's a great way to keep up with what's happening at our favorite vacation spot.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
