Hi Megan! My children are now at the age where summer has to be our main travel time too so that we don't miss school. Of course, since most kids are out of school during the summer, park attendance at Disney World tends to be high. You're smart to be considering the beginning of June or the end of August, as those periods are when the attendance is a tad lower. In general, the parks are slightly less crowded at the end of August than at the beginning of June. Another benefit of visiting Disney in late August is that you'll often find
Special Offers, such as free dining, during that time period since the crowds begin to wane. (Currently there's an offer for Free Dining beginning August 19, so it's likely August would be a more affordable time to visit than June.) The weather in early June and late August is about the same: highs in the low 90s and lows in the 70s. So, I'd give the edge to late August as a better time to visit. However, one reason you might opt for June instead is to attend
Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios, a must if you have Star Wars fans in your family!
Hope your vacation is magical! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if we can help you plan!
