Hi Alyse,
Welcome to planDisney and a very merry unbirthday to you! As you know, we each have one birthday per year but as the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland explains, we all have 364 unbirthdays- so there is always cause for celebration! I love that you'll be celebrating your children's special days at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Be sure to stop by Guest Relations to pick up
complimentary birthday buttons for them to wear during your visit.
Now, Alyse I want to be sure you are fully prepared for your upcoming trip. I'm not sure if you've already purchased your
tickets, but please know that a
theme park reservation is required in addition to valid admission for each day you plan to visit the parks. If you have not already done so be sure your tickets are linked in your My Disney Experience account. You can do this
online or via the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Once linked, you'll be able to make a theme park reservation for each day of your admission entitlements. I'd recommend doing this as soon as possible to ensure you get to experience your top-priority parks.
A 4-day visit will allow you to experience each of the theme parks, but if you're looking to avoid back-to-back park days I'll share my top picks.
Magic Kingdom Park is a must-do and the iconic view of Cinderella Castle at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. is what most guests picture when thinking of
Walt Disney World Resort. You'll definitely want to spend a full day there enjoying the nostalgic attractions in Fantasyland and exploring the adventures that await in other areas of the park. There's so much to see, but my family never misses Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad when we visit.
Happily Ever After, which is in my opinion the best nighttime spectacular, typically occurs nightly, weather permitting. The fireworks, music, and storytelling are so captivating you definitely won't want to miss it! This show is scheduled at 9 p.m. or 9:20 p.m. depending on when you'll visit in May, but this may be subject to change. It's best to
review the events calendar or double-check the My Disney Experience App on the day of your visit.
I'd also recommend spending some time in Andy's backyard over at
Toy Story Land in
Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's such a fun, colorful and immersive area to explore! We especially love a ride on
Slinky Dog Dash and later competing for top score on Toy Story Mania! We always celebrate with a delicious Jack-Jack's Num Num Cookie afterward, too. Talk about a sweet victory!
If you have more questions or need help planning your park day itineraries please feel free to
come back and let me know. I'd be happy to help!
Wishing you magic and memories,
Amy
